Get answers to your questionsPlanning a wedding can be difficult. When looking for your wedding photographer, you may have a lot of questions. Our initial meeting is an opportunity to help answer your questions and figure out how we can meet your needs.
Get to know your photographerOn your wedding day, your wedding photographer will be with you all day. Get peace of mind knowing that your photographer is one whose company you enjoy and has the ability to deliver photos that you will love.
Absolutely! I always bring photos of entire weddings to each initial meeting.
I believe it’s important to see the big picture, not just the best photos of the day. By viewing an entire wedding, you will be able to:
- See a wedding photographer’s style
- See their consistency and ability to connect with people, including you, your wedding party, your family, and your guests
- Get to know how a photographer shoots certain aspects of your day, including the bride and groom getting ready, the first look, the ceremony, the bridal party, and the reception
By seeing the entire body of work, you will be able to know your photographer and have the confidence that he will create imagery that you will connect with every time you see them.
Yes! To ensure that the portfolio you saw when you booked us is representative of the work that you will receive, I will be the primary photographer on the day of your wedding. If you have added a second photographer to your package, photos from that photographer will be presented to me so that they will be processed in the same way.
I have an assistant for most photo shoots, and always for wedding shoots. Because my style sometimes calls for off-camera lighting in order to get unique, stunning photos, an assistant is an important part of the team that helps me accomplish my artistic vision. Assistants are also tasked with ensuring that some of the finer details, such as crooked ties and stray hairs, are noticed immediately.
When a second photographer is requested or included in the package, this team member works solo and is tasked with covering different angles with a focus on covering candid photographs of your guests and details.
In the unlikely event that I am unable to attend your wedding, you will be the first to know. I will also notify my large and active network of talented local professional photographers and arrange for coverage so that you will not be left without a photographer.
I can work with you in scheduling a coverage for each one getting ready to ensure coverage is available for both bride and groom. In situations where it may take a long time to get between the two locations, I would recommend that you include a second photographer in your package, if one is not already included. The second photographer would cover the second location and full coverage would be available at the same time.
Ensuring that you receive the best images and uninterrupted coverage is a priority. Everything from our process to our equipment ensures that your images are safe. Backup copies of your images are, in most cases, made on the spot, and backed up again at the end of the day. Cameras have a primary and secondary backup, lenses have backups, and even lighting gear has backups.
I use professional camera bodies and high-quality lenses to have the best possible image quality. In addition, I bring enough lighting equipment to ensure that I can get the right amount of light, and the right kind of light. Photography, after all, is painting with light!
